A Cooperation Protocol Signed Between İstinye University and the Turkey Foundation for Children’s Freedom

İstinye University and the Turkey Foundation for Children’s Freedom have signed an important cooperation protocol that will make a significant impact in the field of social responsibility. The protocol was signed by Prof. Dr. Erkan İbiş, the Rector of İstinye University, and Selmin Cansu Demir, the President of the Turkey Foundation for Children’s Freedom. Rector Prof. Dr. Erkan İbiş emphasized the societal importance of the collaboration, stating, “This partnership with the Turkey Foundation for Children’s Freedom will bring positive long-term results for all of us. It is a great source of pride for our university and students to contribute to valuable efforts aimed at restoring children’s freedom and reintegrating them into society.”

The collaboration aims to raise societal awareness about children's rights.

As part of this partnership, İstinye University and the Turkey Foundation for Children’s Freedom (TÇYÖ Vakfı) will develop joint projects to take significant steps towards building a rights-based society where children in the justice system and at risk are not deprived of their freedom. In addition to volunteer work to be carried out primarily by the Department of Psychology, joint efforts are also possible within the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, the Department of Child Development, and fields such as language education.

Academic and scientific projects are being designed in the field of social responsibility.

As a result of this collaboration, international projects, internship programs, and work with graduates are also planned. By encouraging students to actively participate in volunteer social responsibility projects through joint efforts with student clubs, the aim is to establish long-term and sustainable partnerships in this field.

İstinye University is laying the foundations for a strong collaboration with the Turkey Foundation for Children’s Freedom to increase societal awareness of children's rights and implement scientific, academic, and social projects in this area.
