Sude Karabulut, a student in the Department of Computer Engineering at the Faculty of Engineering and Natural Sciences, has been selected as a full member of the Student Commission of the Higher Education Quality Council (YÖKAK). İstinye University, with its student-focused and quality-based approach, has added another success to its achievements. Sude Karabulut, a student in the Department of Computer Engineering and the President of the Quality Society at İstinye University, achieved great success by being appointed as a full member of the Higher Education Quality Council’s Student Commission.
93 applications from 41 different universities were submitted during the election process.
In the process of determining the members who will serve on the YÖKAK Student Commission for the 2024-2025 academic year, 93 applications were submitted from 41 different universities. These applications were carefully reviewed by the Pre-Assessment Commission in accordance with the YÖKAK Student Member and Student Commission Regulation. As a result of the evaluation, 28 candidates from 24 different universities earned the right to participate in an interview.
Following the interview held on November 28, 2024, full and substitute members were determined based on criteria such as candidates' experiences, qualifications, and regional and gender balances during the Council meeting on December 6, 2024. After this detailed evaluation process, Sude Karabulut earned the right to serve as a full member.
Students play a key role in the development of higher education.
The YÖKAK Student Commission contributes to the development of higher education quality processes with the participation of student representatives from all universities. Sude Karabulut, who will represent İstinye University in this commission, will make a significant contribution to shaping higher education quality policies from a student perspective.
