İstinye University, in collaboration with the Information and Documentation Management (IDM) Department of Istanbul 29 Mayıs University, conducted six different courses in the fields of librarianship and information access services at the Central Library in an applied manner. This collaboration was considered an important step in reinforcing theoretical knowledge in a real-world setting and enhancing students' professional skills. The courses covered topics such as library management, information access services, and archival organization through hands-on activities. Students had the opportunity to use modern library tools and gained experience by directly interacting with library staff. This process once again demonstrated the contribution of inter-university partnerships to professional education. The courses offered at the Istinye University Central Library under this collaboration are as follows:

- BBY207 School Libraries
- BBY303 Filing, Reporting, and Indexing
- BBY309 Research Methods
- BBY203 Introduction to Information Organization
- BBY301 University and Research Libraries
Before the event, participants were introduced to the new library building of Istinye University, and a library tour was organized. Then, various library services were explained to the students through hands-on demonstrations by the library staff. A total of 26 students from three different classes participated in these courses.
Istinye University Library Contributes to the UN Sustainable Development Goals
The Istinye University Library provided training to students of the Information and Documentation Management Department of Istanbul 29 Mayıs University with activities contributing to the United Nations' 17 Sustainable Development Goals. Particularly, activities were carried out under Goal 4: Quality Education and Goal 17: Partnerships for the Goals. The Istinye University Library went beyond traditional services, offering students a comprehensive and applied learning experience in the following areas:
- Institutional Academic Archive Studies
- Website Management
- Design Work via Canva
- Bulletin Preparation
- Bibliometric Studies
- Collection Development Policies
Through these applied courses at the Istinye University Library, students had the opportunity to experience the practical application of the knowledge they learned theoretically. They explored services they had not encountered before and gained knowledge and experience in important communication fields such as librarianship, archive management, research, and design. The opportunity for practical training made a significant contribution to the development of students' professional skills.
