İstinye University held a meaningful ceremony to honor the esteemed academician and Dean of the Faculty of Health Sciences, Prof. Dr. Yasemin Buran Çırak, who made significant contributions to the academic world and her students, and stood out with her work and life. The ceremony, attended by the university's academic and administrative staff, students, and her family, was marked by emotional tributes.
The ceremony began with a one-minute moment of silence and continued with the sharing of key milestones from Prof. Dr. Çırak’s academic and professional life. Afterward, the esteemed academician and scientist's colleagues, family, and students shared their thoughts and emotions about Prof. Dr. Çırak’s academic achievements, her impact on students, and her humanitarian qualities. During the memorial service, Dr. Nurgül Dürüstkan Elbaşı, Dr. Refika Genç Koyuncu from the Faculty of Health Sciences, Assistant General Secretary Begüm Usta, Rector Prof. Dr. Erkan İbiş, and many others from İstinye University expressed their memories and feelings.

In his speech, Rector Prof. Dr. Erkan İbiş emphasized that, in addition to Prof. Dr. Yasemin Buran Çırak’s outstanding academic achievements, she was an exemplary scientist due to her love and respect for people. He shared the following thoughts:
"The world is a stage, each of us performs our role in life and then leaves the stage after a while. What matters is that while we are on that stage, we can fill our life process with work, production, love, compassion, and universal human values. What matters is that after we leave the stage, we are remembered for our honesty, our virtue, and being a good person. Today, we are here together for our very dear Dean, Prof. Dr. Yasemin Buran Çırak, who left us too early, going to an untimely death along with her beloved family and children. We are here to honor this valuable scientist who spent her 45 years of life in work, production, leadership, and human virtues."

Acting Dean of the Faculty of Health Sciences, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Refika Genç Koyuncu emphasized how Prof. Dr. Çırak touched many lives during her professional career:
"She educated many students, healed many patients. She touched the lives of many people. Her knowledge and love for teaching will continue to live through the students she raised."
