'Say No to Stereotypes, Yes to Equality' and '2+2=100 Years' Exhibitions at Istinye University

As part of the "Youth of the Republic'" project organized by Istinye University’s International Sustainability Application and Research Center, our students opened two different exhibitions of stories of women and children represented in art.

"Say No to Stereotypes, Yes to Equality" showcased exemplary women leading generations throughout the Republic’s history with their thinking, foresight, intelligence, and self-confidence. This exhibition delivered art as inspiration! Featuring images and short autobiographies of 10 Turkish women who made pioneering contributions to our Republic's history, the exhibition invited visitors to explore and raised awareness about 'equality.' It took place on Vadi Main Campus and Vadi H Campus.

The "2+2=100 Years" exhibition utilized digital drawing and watercolor techniques in works that aimed to create awareness about 'art and equality.' The works featured stories of people and events that shaped our Republic’s identity, like our first female rally pilot Ms. Samiye, the Mohini and Azadi elephants dedicated to Turkish children, the Maiden's Tower and the Pera Palas.
