Istinye University brought together leaders of the business world with students at the "Talent-Up Summit" event held on May 17that the Vadi Main Campus. Experts shared their professional experiences while students found answers to their questions about career opportunities.
Featured speakers included Anıl Dönmez, e-Commerce Operations Group Manager at LC Waikiki; Hakan Erdoğan, CEO of Craftgate; Osman Yaşar, CEO of Oses; Hazal Evliyaoğlu, co-founder and CMO of The Purest Solutions; Aydın Süha, general manager of Loft; and Destina Saccılarlı, digital media manager, co-founder and the content creator of Social Craft.

Anıl Dönmez, the e-commerce operations manager of LC Waikiki, spoke at the event, sharing LC Waikiki's brand journey and explaining the criteria they use in hiring. Dönmez stated, "We have over 1300 stores spread across more than 60 countries. We value our customers very much,"
Dönmez also addressed the company’s expectations of candidates, saying, "One of the questions on students' minds when entering the workforce after graduation is what they need. No one expects you to save the company, my friends. The knowledge you gain in university is very important, and we will support you in developing these skills. Our main expectation is for you to build trust, to strive to excel in what you do, to take ownership of your work, and to always set your goals higher."

Anıl Dönmez, the e-commerce operations manager of LC Waikiki, emphasized the importance of activities during university life, stating, "When you enter the business world, the first thing I look at is how you spent your university life. The organizations you have participated in and the events you have attended here demonstrate your performance when working with others in the business world. We hope that those who demonstrate this performance in university will also show the same performance in the business world, so we are following you with that hope."

Hakan Erdoğan, CEO of Craftgate, discussed his career and the company's founding story in his speech. Emphasizing the importance of doing good work, Erdoğan stated, "You need to create a good impression with your work. We are currently working with nearly 100 brands."
"Pursuing Your Dreams is Very Important"
Erdoğan emphasized the importance of pursuing your dreams at the right time and with the right energy, stating, "Pursuing your dreams with the right timing and energy is crucial." He talked pointedly about entrepreneurship. "In entrepreneurship, even if you get 99 out of 100 units right, one can lead to a total loss for you. The problem might not be related to you. When starting a venture, don't do it right after graduation. First, work somewhere, build a network. Make sure you have partners. I currently have three other partners. One is responsible for technology, one for sales operations. We distribute tasks. Successful ventures are all collaborative."
