The Department of Social Work and the Department of English Translation and Interpretation at Istinye University organized and online panel entitled, "The Importance of AI-Supported Digital Accessibility Studies for the Deaf".
The event aimed to increase social awareness and develop more inclusive solutions in the field of digital accessibility. It was developed as part of the EDUSIGN & SIGNEDU project focusing on joint curriculum studies in sign language and artificial intelligence.
“Engelsiz Çeviri (Barrier-Free Translation)” founder Assoc. Prof. Dr. Özer Çelik was a featured speaker at the event. Prof. Dr. Çelik discussed digital accessibility studies and innovative artificial intelligence applications relating to the deaf.
