The “AD Scientific Index” (Alper-Döğer Scientific Index) stands out as a ranking and analysis system based on the individual performance of scientists and the value of their scientific activities. Unlike many other systems that have become more common lately, it does not evaluate journals and universities. The AD Scientific Index, developed in 2021 by Prof. Dr. Murat ALPER (MD) and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Cihan DÖĞER (MD), uses the total and last six years' values of the i10 index, h-index, and citation scores on Google Scholar. Utilizing a total of nine parameters, the AD Scientific Index ranks scientists' scientific performances in 256 fields, 22350 institutions, 218 countries, 10 regions, and worldwide in 11 categories.

Beyond providing ranking services, the AD Scientific Index openly reveals 'ethical violations' and presents publicly available data, aiming to increase legitimacy, transparency, and accountability both at the individual and institutional levels. With its unique evaluation structure, AD Scientific directs individuals and institutions to focus on their academic profiles. By allowing tens of thousands of academicians to review their profiles and correcting inaccurate data, the index emphasizes the necessity for institutions to review the profiles of academic staff with incomplete or incorrect information. The index stands out with its ability to enhance transparency and visibility.
