Istinye University Hosted TUSAP’s Vision Meetings

The Türkiye Health Platform (TÜSAP), which is a thought movement established to promote collaboration among stakeholders in the healthcare sector for a sustainable and high-quality healthcare system, came together to address the changing dynamics of the sector in shaping the future of the healthcare sector and finding lasting solutions to current problems. In this context, the Health Technologies Vision Meeting was held on November 3, 2023, at the Istinye University Vadi Campus Main Campus with the theme "Enhancing Export Capacity and Globalization in Health Technologies."

Prof. Dr. Erkan İbiş, the Rector of Istinye University, expressed great satisfaction with the fact that the meeting took place at Istinye University and emphasized that TÜSAP contributes significantly to Türkiye's healthcare services. Professor İbiş also mentioned that Istinye University is a rapidly maturing university, similar to TÜSAP, and they have condensed an 8-year process into three years. He also noted that significant steps have been taken in the fields of health tourism and health education within the framework of the XIIth Development Plan, and both sectors are rapidly developing and strengthening.

The opening speeches during the reception were delivered by Prof. Dr. Sabahattin Aydın, Deputy Minister of Health of the Republic of Türkiye and Chairman of the TÜSAP Executive Board, and Prof. Dr. Erkan İbiş, Rector of Istinye University, respectively.

The meeting, which saw the participation of over 50 distinguished guests, including Dr. Osman Coşkun, Member of the Presidential Board of Science, Technology, and Innovation Policies, and Dr. Şuayip Birinci, Deputy Minister of Health of the Republic of Türkiye, was moderated by TÜSAP Executive Board Member T. Ufuk Eren. At the workshop, Atalay Gümrah, the CEO of Eczacıbaşı Holding, made notable statements in his presentation.

Istinye University, which hosted this important event of TÜSAP aiming to enhance Türkiye's export capacity in the field of health technologies and become competitive in the global arena, contributed to the discussion of the sector's current issues, finding solutions, and knowledge production.
