The Opening Ceremony and the "Great Member of Istinye | That Makes A Difference" Award Ceremony for the 2023-2024 Academic Year took place on October 16, 2023, at Istinye University's Topkapi Campus, with the participation of the Rector of Istinye University, Prof. Dr. Erkan İbiş, Prof. Dr. Ruşen Keleş, and Istinye University academicians.
During the ceremony, where the emphasis on the theme "100th anniversary of the Republic of Türkiye" was strongly felt, following the National Anthem, a special presentation prepared by the Department of Management Information Systems of the Faculty of Economics, Administrative, and Social Sciences at Istinye University was played. This presentation used artificial intelligence to convey Atatürk's words and messages regarding the centenary of the Republic.
Following a colorful piano recital performed by Prof. Dr. Tofigh Allahviranloo, our esteemed student Mustafa Özaktaş, the President of the Student Council, delivered a speech. Prof. Dr. Erkan İbiş, our Rector, shared current information and insights with the participants regarding the recent educational initiatives, current status, and future plans of our University in his opening speech.
The initial moments of entering the new academic period began with the "Republic, Atatürk, and Urbanization" topic, followed with great interest by all attendees, as presented in the symbolic "opening lecture" prepared by the esteemed academician Prof. Dr. Ruşen Keleş.
During the ceremony, awards were presented to the "Great Member of Istinye | That Makes A Difference," who stood out in their fields during the 2022-2023 academic year. The program concluded with a photo session featuring the Istinye Family members who won the " Great Member of Istinye | That Makes A Difference" Award.
