ISUKON, an event organized by the ISUPA Club and the Faculty of Pharmacy, took place on May 24 at our Topkapı Campus. It featured notable seminars and workshops.
The Eyebrow and Eyelash workshop led by pharmacist Seray Selan provided important information on the significance of pharmacology in cosmetics and reading labels.
The NU-KA Defne Essencia aromatherapy workshop explained the benefits for hair and skin of essential oils and massage oils derived from various plants.
A session entitled 'Clinical Pharmacy’ included a presentation by specialist pharmacist Mehmet Özsavcı entitled “Anti-aging Products: NADH.” Özsavcı discussed NADH’s role as an anti-aging molecule and its effects.
Sessions entitled 'Dermocosmetics,' 'Rational Use of Supplements,' and 'Different Branches of Pharmacy,' included significant seminars presented by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Gülşah Gedik, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Muhammet Emin Çam, and specialist pharmacist İlhan Durgut. Prof. Dr. Gedik spoke on “Ingestible Perfume Technology,” Prof. Dr. Çam spoke on “Food Supplement Use in Children,” and specialist pharmacist Durgut spoke on “Pharmacy in Disaster and Emergency Situations.”
